Mitsubishi MD-UB Screw (optional)

Because the Large em Series has a large plasticizing capacity of 1000 kg//hr (453.7 lbs/hr), Mitsubishi has adopted the MD-UB screw to improve the mixing performance. The "MD" name is derived from a multi-dam mixing section that is applied to the highly regarded UB screw. The multi-dam mixing section has a hexagonal shaped structure and provides excellent performance in color dispersion, mixing, and temperature uniformity.

With a plasticizing capacity of one metric ton per hour and fast cycle capability of the Large em Series, the MD-UB screw is recommended to ensure that the resin is completely melted during the process.
